The recent update for the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel game was released alongside the Lady Hammerlock DLC pack. Unfortunately it has come with an unforeseen bug that’s causing crashes for players says Gearbox.
The problem occurs when players put in three purple rarity items into the Grinder, hoping to turn their unuseable loot into something they can use. Gearbox have said that it has “the potential to cause a crash”. The studio is already working on a patch for fix the issue and recommends being careful about using the Grinder until they have finished and released it.
The update is an automatic one, needed for access to parts of the DLC and for the online play. If you’re prepared to live without those things and wait it out though, try to go into offline mode if that’s an option. Gearbox have said they will post an update on Knowledge Base as soon as they can confirm that their patch is fixing the problem.
