Amazon are a massive company right now in the digital age of the Internet, and after carving out a sizeable market in the e-shopping domain and the streaming one the company is trying out an entry into yet another market. Simply put, they want to make a video game.

Amazon have made it clear that they wish to make PC games and have listed a whole heap of jobs going for people to take up. They want to make an “ambitious new PC game” using “the latest technology”, and already they’ve got a team that contains former Portal, World of Warcraft, BioShock, Half-Life 2, Left 4 Dead, Dota 2, Halo, Infamous, Shadow of Mordor and The Last of Us developers. So it’s a fair bet that they’re aiming for something big. Most noticeably they’re looking for people who have had previous experience with AAA games.

Only time will tell what they have in store.
