Developers Daybreak have laid out what's coming next for H1Z1: King of the Kill with is upcoming patch. It focuses mainly on improvements to general 'quality-of-life' tweaks, including a declutter of the UI, refinement of the Arena map and hit registration being optimised.

That last one is most important for players, as this is one game where a single bullet means the difference between life and death. So having your bullets go where they're supposed to is needed and players were reporting issues like somehow managing to hit their driver when shooting out of the passenger window of a vehicle. Daybreak had first to work with the server and introduce revamps to improve overall performance before they were able to get into the backend and mess around with the hit detection code. These should not only help bullet go where they're aimed, but stop you from being killed by teleporting enemies thanks to desyncs. They've also taken the chance to improve the shotgun, making it shoot 17 projectiles in a systematic pattern rather than just 8 in a random spread.

The UI's main improvement has been to move the crafting and inventory menus onto one screen now, which when combined with players having both locked and unlocked crates in the same place will hopefully ensure managing your inventory will be much quicker too.

Arena map-wise, interiors have been brightened up slightly to help with vision and lootable items will now have a small outline to help players identify what can and can't be looted when time is of the essence. There has also been three new Points of Interest added to the Pleasant Valley area.

These changes are now live on the Test Server for the game, which is currently in Steam Early Access for $19.99/£14.99.
Yes that's Minecraft-me in my av. Done by Reiu who is damn talented!
