There is no time for peace. No respite. No forgiveness.
There is only WAR.
In the nightmare future of the 41st Millennium, Mankind teeters upon the brink of destruction. The galaxy-spanning Imperium of Man is beset on all sides by ravening aliens and threatened from within by Warp-spawned entities and heretical plots. Only the strength of the immortal Emperor of Terra stands between humanity and its annihilation, and in his name, countless warriors and agents do battle against the encroaching darkness. Foremost amongst them stand the Space Marines, the ultimate protectors of Mankind.
Across airless moons, within the depths of dark, twisted hive worlds and even in the immaterial realm of Warp space, battles rage that will shape the future of the galaxy forever.
It is a universe that you can enter today, if you dare. But remember that this is a dark and terrible era, and there is no peace amongst the stars…

Well as you can see above this seems to be the GW2 world map datamined from the GW2.dat file and the mas of GW1 super imposed over their spots on the map…
Recently Reddit was a buzz because that_shaman came across a map of Tyria but now that the dust has settled, WoodenPotatoes decided to take a look at this map and found some interesting lore mistakes that he speculates on in his video.
If you know your lore which many Guild Wars original fans will, then looking at this map will raise certain questions.
One of these questions WoodenPotatoes brings up is whether this was created from the perspective of an in game character that did not have all the information because otherwise the inconsistencies of the map would break the lore of the game.
He also speculates on when the map was created which from his observation appears to be after the Exodus of the Gods.
Keep in mind that this entire map has not been commented on by ArenaNet so at any point they can remove this map and redesign accordingly.
I am very curious to hear what the GW2 community has to say on a world they undoubtedly love. Leave a comment below and let us know.
Dakesis are a five piece Progressive-Power Metal band from Birmingham, UK. Considered by some as one of the UK's fastest rising independent artists, they have come a long way since their formation in 2008.
Mixing European power metal influences with home-grown heavy metal, a heavy dose of tongue–in-cheek cheese and a fair dash of contemporary Prog to create a unique blend of modern melodic metal.
The band will be joining us in IRC this evening, answering you questions from IRC, Facebook and twitter

That’s where you come in.
All players who have pre-purchased Guild Wars 2 are invited to participate in our upcoming stress test. This four-hour test event will run on Wednesday, June 27th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. PDT (GMT-7).
