Star Trek Online “The 2800” Feature Episodes Trailer

The first episode of the fourth Featured Episodes series (Dominion) is set to debut on Saturday, February 11th, and this trailer is here to give you a taste of what's to come!

With no active Star Trek TV series in production, the weekly release of featured episodes is the closest thing to the excitement of a TV series that Star Trek fans can get. Now that the game is free-to-play, it’s an easy way to get your Star Trek fix!

The storyline centers around Deep Space Nine, Bajor, the wormhole, and the Dominion. We previewed a piece of the plot with the captured Jem’Hadar attack ships in December. Where did these ships come from? What is the current status of the Dominion? Are they really non-participants in the alpha quadrant’s instability, or have they become active once again? So many questions, and you’ll need to play the series to find the answers!

Special loot is available while the series is in its first run, so tune in each week to take advantage of it!  FAQs about how the series works with Star Trek Online is available at http://www.startrekonline.com/node/2060.

If you've been on the fence about Star Trek Online, there's no time like the present to jump aboard since the game is now free to play! For more information, check

W40K: Dark Millennium Online News – THQ Seeking Partner for Publication

During a THQ investors' call held recently, it was revealed that the company is unable to deliver Warhammer 40k: Dark Millenium Online on its own and is seeking partnership opportunities with other companies.

"Because of the large financial commitment and associated risks, we are being realistic about our resources and we are actively seeking a partner for this compelling new MMO. We will keep you updated on our progress," Farrell told his investors.

World Of Warcraft Patch 4.3.2

Patch 4.3.2 introduces the ability to invite your Real ID friends to a Raid Finder raid or any of the older Normal and Heroic raids.

Classes

General

  • [Vengeance] is no longer triggered by receiving damage from other players.

Druid Druids

Hunter Hunters

  • [Aspect of the Hawk] now grants roughly 35% more attack power.

  • [Deterrence] now also reduces damage taken by 30% while active.

  • [Black Arrow] now ticks every 2 seconds for 20 seconds, as opposed to every 3 seconds for 15 seconds. The total damage dealt by the ability is unchanged.

  • [Lock and Load] no longer benefits [Arcane Shot], nor is it consumed by Arcane Shot.

Mage Mages

Paladin Paladins

Priest Priests

  • [Mass Dispel] should again prefer dispelling targets that have magic effects that can be dispelled.

Rogue Rogues

Dungeons & Raids

  • You can now form same-faction raids with Real ID friends, allowing you to enter Raid Finder in groups larger than 5, run older normal or heroic raids, or participate in Battlegrounds. You will not yet be able to run normal or heroic Dragon Soul with cross-realm raids of Real ID friends.

  • Several typo fixes and clarified descriptions have been added to the Dungeon Journal entries for Dragon Soul.

  • Players can no longer win multiple copies of the same item on a single Raid Finder boss kill. For example, a player who chooses Need on two set piece tokens or two weapons and wins the first, will not be eligible for the second on that particular boss.

  • Baradin Hold

    • The roaming Eyes of Occu'thar have been replaced by hateful creatures who serve Alizabal.

  • Dragon Soul

    • Twilight Assaulters are now easier to hit in melee.

    • Yor'sahj the Unsleeping

      • The Shaman spell Unleash Life now properly only triggers Deep Corruption on its target. Previously, this affected both the caster and the target.

    • Warmaster Blackhorn

      • The visual warning for Twilight Elites' Blade Rush should be easier to see.

    • Spine of Deathwing

      • Burning Tendons health has been reduced by 15% in 10- and 25-player Heroic mode. This change eases the burst damage requirement to complete the encounter, which should allow players to make use of more varied raid compositions.

    • Madness of Deathwing

      • The Priest spell Leap of Faith is no longer usable while under the effect of Carrying Winds.

Items

  •  [Vial of Shadows] damage (Lightning Strike) has been reduced to approximately one-third of previous damage. However, it will now trigger approximately 3 times as often. This is intended to keep overall DPS the same while reducing burst damage, especially in PvP.

  •  [Maw of the Dragonlord] can now have its effect triggered by healing from [Holy Word: Sanctuary].

User Interface

  • Fixed a bug that caused the Mature Language Filter to reset on exit.

  • A notice is now displayed 15 minutes prior to the player being disconnected by parental controls.

Bug fixes

This patch fixes an issue where in the Heroic difficulty 25-player Spine of Deathwing encounter, Blood Corruption: Earth is triggering Astral Armor instead of the intended Blood of Neltharion.

Wii U to release in 2012, Nintendo Network announced

Nintendo confirms new console will launch this year, controller gets NFC function

In its Third Quarter financial results briefing, Nintendo has revealed new details about its plans for the upcoming next-generation console, the Wii U.

It has been confirmed the company is planning to showcase the final format and discuss the details of the new hardware at E3 2012, which will be held in Los Angeles in June this year. Nintendo can confirm that they will launch the Wii U in Japan, the U.S., Europe and Australia in time for the year-end sales season.

"For the launch of new hardware, it is, of course, regarded as a sort of requisite not to miss the critical year-end sales season. The company is aiming to firmly complete the development of the entire system and prepare sufficient software so that the Wii U will be at its best at the time of the launch. Needless to say, we have learned a bitter lesson from the launch of the Nintendo 3DS," said Satoru Iwata, president of Nintendo.

The Wii U controller will also have a NFC (Near Field Communication) function. By installing this functionality, it will become possible to create cards and figurines that can electronically read and write data via noncontact NFC. Adoption of this functionality will enable various other possibilities such as using it as a means of making micropayments.

Finally, the company announced The Nintendo Network – a service which will cover the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U. The new system is set to bring the digital offerings of the console up to industry standards – including personal accounts per console instead of friend codes, ability to have a marketplace to sell DLC and digital titles, etc.

Nintendo also shared sales data, with Microsoft’s Xbox 360 leading the market throughout last year. The Wii and Sony’s PS3 had similar sales throughout 2011, but the Wii gained an edge for the total sales according to estimates.
