Warcraft Movie Trailer Revealed at Blizzcon

Warcraft Movie poster 2

Everyone has already seen it of course, but here’s the full HD version of the trailer in case your stream was as crappy at the start of blizzcon as mine was

The plot will feature the orcs trying to make a new home, and the conflict between the orcs and humans. Durotan and Anduin Lothar try to forge an uneasy peace as both sides prepare for war. Many plot details are still up in the air, but there are plenty of familiar touches in the trailer, so fans of any of the games in the series shouldn’t be disappointed with this one.

The Warcraft movie hits theaters June 10, 2016.

So what do you think?

#Blizzcon2015: LEGION release date leaks early on Battle.net!

The release date for Blizzard’s upcoming World of Warcraft expansion, Legion, has been leaked online just a day before BlizzCon kicks off. The date was spotted online in an image hosted on the Battle.net website which reads, “Expected game release on or before September 21st, 2016.”

The image also details some pre-purchase bonuses, including a Level 100 character boost and early access to the new Demon Hunter hero class. A standard edition of the game will be priced at $49.99 (£33.17).

On top of that, the digital deluxe edition will include an in-game mount, pet, and digital content for Diablo 3 and StarCraft 2 for $69.99 (£46.44).

World of Warcraft: Legion was first announced at Gamescom in August this year.

The expansion will raise the level cap to 110 and introduce a new class called the Demon Hunter. Legion will add a host of new content including a new continent titled The Broken Isles, new customisable artifact weapons, and new dungeons and raids.

The expansion will also revamp the player-versus-player progression system.

The beta for World of Warcraft: Legion starts this year. Players can sign up to participate on the Battle.net website.

Battletech Kickstarter surpasses $2.5 million in funding

Back in September Harebrained Schemes launched a Kickstarter to crowdfund a new Battletech game. The goal was $250,000 but it soon far outstripped that and now the campaign has hit $2.5 million, reaching the last stretch goal of PvP multiplayer.

Any further raised funds will go towards improving the game now instead of adding new features, but there are plans to expand upon the game after it has been launched properly. “After that, any additional funds will go toward funding a Post-Launch Live Team that will continue developing additional features and content. First among them will be Cooperative Multiplayer, which will allow you and a friend to face-off against AI opponents.”

Battletech is a turn-based tactical game, with a full single player campaign mode and will also feature open-ended “mercenary” missions that will allow players to play on with accepting procedurally-generated contracts.

The Kickstarter will wrap at 3 pm ET on November 3.

Orsinium has arrived in TESO

The latest DLC pack has been released for Bethesda’s MMO the Elder Scrolls Online, bringing with it a new area and missions centralised mainly around the rebuilding of the Orcism homeland Orsinium.

The King of the Orcs Kurog and his mother are the ones who have put out the request for all available adventurers to come aid them with the rebuilding to keep away enemies who have an interest in making sure the work does not get finished and the capital is not secured for the Orcs. The DLC should involve arou8nd 20 hours worth of new content for players, with both solo and group content available for play.

Also with the DLc comes the solo-focused Maelstrom Arena where you can do battle with the strongest monsters the game has for prizes and features “nine combat rings and two different difficulty levels”. The group side has two new public dungeons in Old Orsinium and Rkindaleft and there are also six new world bosses dotted around the map for you to take on.

This content is free if you’re a ESO Plus sub, otherwise it’ll set you back 3000 Crowns which is the equivalent of £14.99 / $24.99 in real world cash.

Australia to get a CoD themed alcohol

It seems that limited-edition alcohols related to upcoming big video games is a thing now. I must have missed the memo somewhere, because shortly after I told you about Carlsberg and Bethesda planning to release a UK-exclusive Fallout drink Australia is due to get one too themed around Call of Duty.

The beer is 4.8% and will ship on November 2nd, 4 days before the next Call of Duty game itself is released. Someone in the naming department must be found of puns as well, because the beer is called “Black Hops Midnight Pale Ale”. Groan.

The ale itself is a pale ale, and is described as being “light and refreshing with tantalising hop aromas of pine and citrus fruit” and has been fused with roasted wheat to give it a dark colour while still allowing it to retain the less harsh flavour of a pale ale.

If you’re interested in having a suitable alcohol for your FPS runs,  you can buy it here.
