No Man’s Sky will release on PS4; PC version not confirmed

Well this was a surprise. Sometimes when you see a trailer for a game, the genre and gameplay you see hints at it coming out on certain platforms. This was the case for most people when they saw the trailer for No Man’s Sky at E3 a few weeks back. The multiple-planet, open-world, sandbox game seemed like it was a definite for PC-gamers.

Yet the team behind the game have revealed that not only is the game to début on the Playstation 4, there’s no guarantee of a PC version becoming a thing at all. In an interview with Eurogamer the co-founder of developers Hello Games, Sean Murray, said that they would like a PC version to become available.

“If I’m honest, we’re taking on quite a lot at the moment,” says Murray. “We’re definitely coming to PS4. I would like to come to PC. Whether that arrives the same day – we’re a small team!” And indeed they are. While it’s often said that the group is made of just 4 people, the team has grown to number ten. Bigger than is thought but still a smallish team for a game of this supposedly limitless scope.

While it’s a disappointment to find out that this game isn’t currently coming to PC for sure, this sort of game does have quite a big audience in the PC market and the gamers who are a part of it. It wouldn’t be a big surprise if a PC version is developed, even if it’s released a little while after the PS 4 début.

Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade Gameplay Videos and Specs… Wait, How Much RAM?!?

Behaviour Interactive posted up a ton of marketing/gameplay videos today, plus a HUGE FAQ for the game and Founders packs…

warhammerchaos

Lets start with the videos:

Now, onto the FAQ and recommended requirements are:

CPU: INTEL Core i5-750 / AMD Phenom II X6 1045T
GPU: NVidia GTX 660+ or similar video card
Memory: 8 GB DDR3
Hard Drive: 50GB Free Disc Space
OS: 64-bit Operating Systems (Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, SteamOS, MacOS X 10.9)

NOTE: This is just a predicted hardware setup. Details can change slightly over time as the game is still under development. More details to come.

Now, did everyone else notice that? 8Gb RAM?!? What game needs 8 bloody gigs of RAM?!?

You can see the rest of the FAQ here

and relax…

So yeah, the founders packs and initial store items…

Founder packs come in three varieties: Warrior, Sergeant or Captain. All of them come with a game key and four character slots ($40 value) as well as Founder program exclusives including Rogue Trader Points (RTP), Pre-Launch Game Access, Early Game Module Access, etc. And you can see them all here

Umm… Lets look at the top most Space marine pack:

Captain Pack

A Game key and 4 character slots ($40 value) with Captain Founder program exclusives including:

120,000 + 25% Bonus RTP to Spend in the Rogue Trader for a total of 150,000 points
Pre-Launch Game Access – First come, first serve!
Early Game Module Access – Initial Access – First Wave
Limited Edition Banner
Arkhona Vanguard Title
Exclusive Founder Lounge Access in Forum
Reserve Character Name
Reserve Guild Name

NOTE: For now, Founder packs will only be for PC versions of the game.

Now this is £70.80 or $120.00

Yes Captain pack owners start in the first of the three phases of Early Access roll out, but what else?
Well honestly, not much that I (or Digmbot) can see looking at the webpage

Now I admit, we’re AT LEAST a year away from release, but am I tempted to buy a founders pack?

Yes, but not the main factions, instead, I’ll be buying the £5.00 Ork founders pack instead

You can see all the founders pack options here

So, I’m still really interested in the game, I’ve been following Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade for ages now and what Behaviour Interactive has shown so far is looking promising, but the pricing is a worry

Google announce new Android TV software to bring media and games to connected TVs

After having already failed to make TV set-top boxes and Google-powered TVs attractive to punters, Google is planning another attempt at cracking the living room. The company is working with partners to produce several television set-top boxes that run its Android software, let users view content, listen to music, and play games on their television sets, according to people familiar with the matter.

The Banner Saga Coming To iPad And Android Tablets

The-Banner-Saga-08-770x472

Earlier this year, a group of former BioWare developers released a strategy RPG on PC by the name of The Banner Saga. With a gorgeous art style, Viking inspired theme and tough as nails strategy combat, the game should definitely be on any SRPG fan’s must play list. And now, developer Stoic is bringing it to iPad and Android Tablets.  No hard date was given, but the game is said to be coming later this summer with controls that have been fully optimized for touch controls. As much fun as The Banner Saga is on PC, I can’t wait to take it with me on my Nexus tablet.

Let us know if you plan on picking up the game on your tablet of choice in the comments below!

Arkham Origins Complete Edition Appears On Amazon

splash_arkham_origins

In yet another instance of Amazon outing game release dates, a listing appeared today on Amazon Germany showing Batman: Arkham Origins Complete Edition. According to the page, the games is slated to release on August 21. Of course, no details were included in the listing. Howeve,r the bundle’s name would seem to indicate that the game would include all of the DLC released for the game. This would, of course include Cold, Cold Heart, based on Mr. Freeze.

While the listing hasn’t been confirmed, if it is real, the complete edition would be released on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Fans may remember that all DLC for Arkham origins on Wii U has already been cancelled.
