Once again, we have a leaked release date, courtesy of someone somewhere pressing the wrong button too early.
The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine expansion is coming quite soon, and it seems that someone got overly excited, making the Steam page for the expansion live with the unannounced release date before removing it quickly. Oops.
Unfortunately for whoever set it live, the Internet has many eyes. Tweeter @Wario64 not only posted the announcement of the date, but then followed it up with a screencap moments later when the date was taken down:
The Steam description listed that Blood and Wine would take players on a 20+ hour long adventure in an area that rivals No Man’s Land in size, and even mentioned something about Geralt having access to his own vineyard. There’ll also be new gear, with armour being dyeable now and Gwent players getting a new set of Skellige cards for their collection.
So, keep your eyes on the Interwebs for the official confirmation of the release date as May 30th, provided this leak is accurate information.

One of the more… unusual measures of a game’s success has to be how often the game is searched for slightly more adult purposes than just video games. One such game that could be called a success based on that is Overwatch, which is currently running its open beta.
VentureBeat have discovered that since the beta went live, the search terms to do with Overwatch have soared by 817 percent on adult video site Pornhub. Unsurprisingly Tracer is the most popularly searched for character, especially given the controversy over her victory pose a few weeks back.

In case you’re wondering how on earth there can be videos of game characters, well let’s just say character modellers and Valve’s free tool the Source Film Maker have an awful lot to answer for. The viewing figures and uploader numbers all suggest that this is a sort of global thing as well with users being registered from all over Asia, Europe and South America among other places.
Of course, adult works of fictional characters are nothing new – the Internet is for porn after all. The numbers though are fairly impressive.
Outside of this though, Overwatch has had a pretty successful open beta so far with a lot of people playing it and getting hooked. Heck, even as I write my brother is on the other side of the room playing Overwatch on the Playstation 4. He’s pretty good with Reinhardt and his shield.
Overwatch will release fully on May 24th.

Rockstar are kicking off another series of events to participate in for GTA V, this time based around time trials.
The event kicked off yesterday and will run through to May 12th, testing players’ speed as they thrash down pre-planned routes to complete them the fastest. There’s seven different trials all with double rewards on offer, even if you’ve already completed them before now.
As part of the event and to help you get those top times, Rockstar have put five of the fastest vehicles available in the game up for sale, with all at half the price – the T20, Zentorno, Pegassi Osiris, Hakuchou, and Akuma are all available; two bikes and three cars. Also on sale are specific vehicles mods, with engines, brakes and suspension all at 30% off. Also, when you inevitably run foul of the law travelling at speeds far above the limit, Lester’s services will be free during this time. What a relief.
The five remaining time trials are:
- Sunday May 8 – Mount Gordo
- Monday May 9 – Great Ocean Highway
- Tuesday May 10 – Sawmill
- Wednesday May 11 – Maze Bank Arena
- Thursday May 12 – End to End
“There’s also Double RP to be gained in this week’s Playlist on Land Races, with Bike-focused Touch Base (racing from the Galileo Observatory to Fort Zancudo), Sports-geared On the GOH (taking on the Great Ocean Highway) and Off-roading in Turn the Tide (from the Great Ocean Highway to Paleto Cove),” Rockstar wrote.

Last night, after numerous rumours about their make, the first consumer graphic cards from Nvidia based upon their Pascal architecture have been revealed – the GTX 1070 and the GTX 1080. Both are to be launched in around a month’s time, with the 1080 releasing at the end of this month on May 27th and the 1070 coming June 10th.
The main boasting points for Nvidia’s new cards are that they’re both supposedly faster than the current flagship cards, the 980 Ti and the Titan X. Nvidia says that the 1080 will be twice as fast as the Titan X in certain VR applications and 3 times as energy efficient. That sounds really appealing.
Both cards are also going to run cooler as well, leaving plenty of room for overclocking. This is all down to a re-design of the cooling system that Nvidia’s used since they released the Titan in 2013, but this new system will only be sold upon Founders Editions of the cards which are just that bit more expensive.
The GTX 1070 will retail at $379/£270 with its Founders Edition being $449/~£310; while the GTX 1080 will be sold for $599/£450 and its Founders Edition at $699/£~485.
For those of you who prefer its competitor AMD, they’re due to reveal their next-gen graphic cards in the coming weeks based off their Polaris architecture. They have claimed that they’ll be offering theirs at a more mainstream price, so it’s likely to not be as powerful but might gain audience through cost efficiency instead.
