According to a pair of legal filings, it appears that Blizzard is suing Valve to prevent it from trademarking the DOTA name. Blizzard claims that the DOTA name has been closely aligned with the Warcraft series for the past seven years. Defense of the Ancients was originally created as a mod for Warcraft III.
1. By this Opposition, Blizzard seeks to prevent registration by its competitor Valve Corporation ("Valve") of a trademark, DOTA, that for more than seven years has been used exclusively by Blizzard and its fan community, under license from Blizzard. By virtue of that use, the DOTA mark has become firmly associated in the mind of consumers with Blizzard, including to signify a highly popular scenario or variant of one of Blizzard's best-selling computer games, Warcraft III. Over the past seven years, the mark DOTA has been used exclusively in connection with Blizzard and its products, namely Warcraft III. Most notably, DOTA has been used as the popular name of a Warcraft III software "mod" file that has been distributed, marketed, and promoted by Blizzard and its fans (under license from Blizzard)
Nestled deep within the brain, slightly above the singulate cortex and just in front of the Parietal lobe, there lies a small section of grey matter that the scientific community refer to as the “OMG spaceships” part of the brain. Shaped like a tiny Millennium Falcon, this region is entirely responsible for the feelings of awe and love that many humans experience when shown images of interstellar craft flying gracefully in front of planets, or in front of other, larger spaceships.
The wizards at CCP are especially good at creating trailers that reach right in through our eyes to tickle our tiny pleasure centres. Wait, what did I just write? Basically, we love spaceships and want to marry them. Eve Online doesn’t let us marry spaceships yet, but it does let us BE spaceships, which is why we quite like it. If you’re inspired to try it, you can download a 14 day free trial from the Eve Online site.
The story of the Yuudachi family has long been intertwined with that of Cantha. Miku seeks to close a mysterious and troubling chapter in both by confronting Reiko, the founder of the Ministry of Purity, and reconciling with her long lost brother, Ashu. Meet with Miku in the Shenzun Tunnels to join in her quest.
If someone you knew well posted a really rude comment to you on Facebook, how would you react? Block them? Send them an email complaint? Confront them directly about it face-to-face? Whatever you'd do, I doubt you'd react anything like THIS guy:
According to the video's creator, "My daughter thought it would be funny/rebellious/cool to post on her Facebook wall just how upset she was and how unfair her life here is; how we work her too hard with chores, never pay her for chores, and just in general make her life difficult. She chose to share this with the entire world on Facebook and block her parent's from seeing it. Well, umm… she failed. As of the end of this video, she won't have to worry anymore about posting inappropriate things on Facebook…"
Talk about tough love, huh?

The first episode of the fourth Featured Episodes series (Dominion) is set to debut on Saturday, February 11th, and this trailer is here to give you a taste of what's to come!
With no active Star Trek TV series in production, the weekly release of featured episodes is the closest thing to the excitement of a TV series that Star Trek fans can get. Now that the game is free-to-play, it’s an easy way to get your Star Trek fix!
The storyline centers around Deep Space Nine, Bajor, the wormhole, and the Dominion. We previewed a piece of the plot with the captured Jem’Hadar attack ships in December. Where did these ships come from? What is the current status of the Dominion? Are they really non-participants in the alpha quadrant’s instability, or have they become active once again? So many questions, and you’ll need to play the series to find the answers!
Special loot is available while the series is in its first run, so tune in each week to take advantage of it! FAQs about how the series works with Star Trek Online is available at http://www.startrekonline.com/node/2060.
If you've been on the fence about Star Trek Online, there's no time like the present to jump aboard since the game is now free to play! For more information, check
