In the first case of gambling laws being used to bring charges against people related to gaming gambling sites, two Youtubers have been charged with the promotion of unlawful gambling.
Before you get excited though, it’s not ProSyndicate or TmarTn or even related to the entire CSGO gambling fiasco from a few months ago. That can of worms still has to be sorted out. Instead the two Youtubers in question are both prominent FIFA Youtubers.
The two in question, Craig Douglas of channel NepentheZ and Dylan Rigby of the now-deleted channel FUTgalaxy, are being charged with counts of promotion a lottery and advertising unlawful gambling in the same case against them. Douglas also has a charge of inviting children to gamble on the sites they were advertising. The case comes off the back of an investigation into the rise of gambling in videogames in recent years by The Gambling Commission, raising concerns about how with the involvement of virtual items children might be drawn into gambling from early ages.
The men appeared in Birmingham Magistrates Court on Friday, but the case has been adjourned until October 14th. It is as of yet unknown if any other Youtubers or streamers who have been caught involved with videogame gambling sites will have cases or charges brought against them too.
The last DLC for Fallout 4 I reviewed was Automatron, and I gave that a 9/10 for the over 8 hour campaign storyline it gave me. So let’s take a look at Fallout 4’s 6th and Final DLC, NukaWorld!
Construction started on Nuka-World in July 2049, and Nuka-World opened on May 1st, 2050. On opening day, over 40,000 tickets were sold, and plans were made to expand immediately, as it featured only 2 lands at the time: Nuka-Town USA and Kiddie Kingdom. Dry Rock Gulch opened in 2058, followed by Safari Adventure in 2067. The last park area, Galactic Zone, opened in 2072.
In typical Fallout 4 DLC style, the DLc opens up after level 30 with a mission to listen to a radio signal… Unlike Far Harbour though, which needed Nic Valentine and a certain point in the core storyline completed, this is more like Automatron, you can go straight there, although the devs admit at 30, you’re in for one hell of a challenge (although if you don’t all the other DLC already, you’re more than likely more than ready to get started. Especially if, like me, you’re using any mods aswell.
I will admit, I started streaming this one and I enjoyed it SO MUCH, I forgot to NOT play anymore and played stuff I SHOULD have done on stream… oops… But you can see my first NukaWorld stream below:
So, what IS Nukaworld?
As the description says, it’s Disney World, but for Nuka Cola, cos why the hell not?
The map is HUGE too, it’s made up of more than 8 zones, all run by various raider factions and depending how you play the storyline, you can end up running the raiders too. I kinda of wish I had too, as I’ve seen some amusing videos of old companions reactions on how you play it, especially Preston Garvey, who is not AT ALL happy with your choice leading to some relaly amusing videos.
The zone is nicely spaced out aswell, the theme park being in a big dust bowl type area, nice and flat, you can see to the horizon and get some beautiful vistas for screenshots from most angles.
I initially thought the park would have a few typical zones, what I was really surprised to find was there is a TON of areas around the outside fo the park aswell, including trash areas, a junkyard full of bots (which give some cool new parts for your Automatrons aswell), a Zoo full of some of teh CRAZIEST monstrosities so far in this game, inclusing the gruesome Albino Gatorclaw that tried ripping my face off a few time and the terrifying Feral Ghoul Gorillas and even, one of my fave parts of the park, a Haunted House.
The Grandchester Mystery Mansion was a special fave, I honestly spent well over an hour following the route through (stuck in a room until the voice over finishes, typical haunted house style) and working out how to survive the various traps on the way through as I go and I honestly got a fun jump scare from it near the end too, which was a great little touch.
I have so far played MORE than 8 hours in the park and I have only done, AT MOST, 2 zones so far and barely scratched the raider storyline. I have loved every minute of my exploring and just talking to all the wierd and whacky people and droids I’ve met in this DLC and it’s honestly given me a crisis of conscience on how I want to go… Do I stay quite stand up with the rail Road and Minute Men, helping rebuild the Commonwealth and society, or do I run the raiders and take over the whole place as the Overboss… decisions… decisions…
The Last Guardian is one of those games that’s become well-known before its release, solely because of how long its taken the game to approach that release. In fact, for years the game has bounced between ‘coming soon’ and ‘probably dead’ and just as it began to approach a decade since being announced, Sony announced that yes – The Last Guardian was still alive and what’s more it was given a release date!
Only today, that date has once again been delayed. However instead of having no date for release, the date has instead just been pushed back a few months to December. Phew.
Speaking on the Playstation site’s blog, Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios said that the development team behind The Last Guardian was “fast approaching major milestones in production” and had taken the decision to delay the release by a few weeks to December 6th 2016.
“Fumito Ueda, gen DESIGN and JAPAN Studio have a wonderful vision for The Last Guardian’s touching, emotional journey of friendship and trust, and we want to deliver the most polished experience possible for our fans who have supported us for so long. A delay is a difficult decision, particularly with this game, but we have encountered more bugs than anticipated while in the final stages of development. To ensure that The Last Guardian delivers on the experience that the game’s creators have envisioned, we need to take the extra time to work on those issues.”
Somehow I had a feeling when watching a trailer for the game at Insomnia 58 a few weekends back that The Last Guardian’s troubles couldn’t quite be over yet. Still, at least we have a new date to look forward to it now eh?

Welcome back to the weekly Kickstarter gaming round-up article.
Of the game covered last week, there is still a lot of time left on all of the projects. Thornwatch had already had its target met when I wrote last week, and since that article The Rabbit and the Owl has also managed to reach and bypass its goal. Well done to the developers.
First up is a sci-fi action/adventure game involving a time manipulation device.
Taking the role of Hadrian, the player follows his story as a time traveller sweeps him up in adventure and grants him the ability to use the ARC – a time manipulation device that allows for Hadrian to do things such as slow time around him, rewind and much more. Using this device you must fight against the alien oppressors of your world.
This Kickstarter is to help the developers put back some features they had to previously cut from their development of the game, and so they have set a target of $100,000 to further develop the game. They have made $766 of this with 29 days to go.
Next up is a mech game from a studio in Beijing, China.
A 2D Mech fighting game, Code: HARDCORE has a playable demo with 4 of the mechs, one level and unlimited practice mode to try out on their campaign page. There will be a multiplayer mode that looks to be split screen (the demo is local multiplayer only, but the full game will support online too) as well as a story mode that will see you fighting with your mech through a campaign.
Code: HARDCORE has a target of $65,536 of which it has made $20,064 already. It has 42 days to go.
Next up is a game that says it takes inspiration from games such as The Stanley Parable and various 2D games.
The main character you play is Kevin. Kevin is a box with eyes. Kevin is tired of his game and wants to escape. Using gadgets that can break the game, you lead him on his quest. Throughout the game Kevin will talk back to you, effectively breaking the forth wall to speak to you as the player. How you choose to respond back will effect how he continues to respond to you.
Escape the Game has made kr0.00 of its kr64.000 goal so far with 29 days left to go. There’s a demo on the page if you want to check it out before you pledge.
Finally, we have a two-player board game campaign with zombies and a race to a rooftop.
One player controls the survivor, the second the zombie hoard as the survivor must fight through floors of zombies that the other player moves to block them as they attempt to make it to the rooftop and complete the final battle to escape in a chopper parked on top. The game uses dice for battles and is role-play in style.
With 29 more days to go, this campaign has yet to make any of its $30,000 goal.
Right now, the Elder Scrolls virtual card game The Elder Scrolls: Legends is in a very stable state. In fact, Bethesda’s cive-president of PR and Marketing has come out and said that the game is basically already ready for release. However they’re holding off on exiting beta for a bit.
Talking about the game to PCGamer on the PAX show floor Bethesa’s Pete Hines said “We could call it launched right now, if we wanted,” about the card game, but said that they were waiting for a tablet version of the game to be greenlit before they would take the PC version of the game out of beta and into full release. However he also said that the tablet version isn’t “far off”.
It seems that Autumn is still the studio’s target for a release and that besides a few UI tweaks to menus, Legends is pretty much feature-complete and ready to be bumped up to version 1.0 whenever they get the tablet greenlight.
