Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void may be looming on Tuesday, but this weekend all the focus was on the last ever Heart of the Swarm Global Championship Tournament. In a story that could not have been written better by Hollywood, 2013 World Champion SOS and 2014 champ Life made it all the way to the final set, facing off to see who would make Starcraft 2 history. It would be a massive understatement to say that the series was amazing. Going to the final game of a best of seven, the final match was an insane tug of war that actually destroyed one caster’s voice. RIP Artosis. In the end however, SOS took the championship and the $100,000.

Legacy of the Void comes out on Tuesday.

Paul Kubit, Sr Game Designer for World of Warcraft, dropped a ton info about how Professions will work in Legion.

One huge reveal is there will actually be Profession questlines.

Here’s a run down of everything he talked about:

– Goal – Giving you more stuff to do
Example: you log in on sunday and want to relax by doing professions so we’re going to change recipe acquisition.

– You won’t just log into this expac and learn every recipe you need from a trainer.
We want you out in the world to go on adventures to find recipes.

Example: Tailor starts quest in Dalaran, trainer asks you to go find cloth. It fails, find a new person to help you make it work! Rest of the quest line deals with learning stuff from a Nightborne who also learns from YOU about Dalaran.

Example: Mining – you learn from characters on how to mine more efficiently.

New ore: Ley Ore

– Mining and Herb nodes are SHARED in Legion. Druids won’t steal your nodes!

– Moving recipes out in the world
– Profession questlines, which will teach how to use new materials and deal with other issues and consequences from the questline
– Gathering nodes in Legion will Finally be shared
– Recipes will have ranks Ranks

– Tradeskill UI update
– Can set recipes to a favorites list
– Learned/unlearned tab
– Unlearned gives details about how to get those recipes
– Obliterum – dust or ash which is used to make crafted things into more powerful items
– Obtain Obliterum by taking them to a special forge to destroy crafted items

– Crafted items are special
– – All high level jewelcrafter Necks have guaranteed gem slot & class specific buffs
– – Engineer helms shoot bullets because they are made of gun parts
– – Minor glyphs are usable items, used to augment spells themselves no limit on how many you can use

– Major glyphs will be removed from the game
– Archaeologists have an expansion length quest line
– Cooking will be able to cook bacon and Nomi will show-up to teach new recipies
– Fishing will feel like a an adventure
– First Aid will have all new content related to it to make it an adventure

People who pre-ordered the Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Edition from UK retailer GAME have been receiving e-mails from GAME saying that due to an issue processing payment many orders have been cancelled.

The e-mail suggests calling the customer service line to replace the order, but the sheer numbers of cancellations meant that the phonelines have been jammed now since the first of the e-mails were sent out on the 6th. Some people reported waiting for upwards of over an hour and others saying that when they do get through they get disconnected before they can resolve their complaints.

Some people pre-ordered their copies of the Pip-Boy Edition many months in advance and at £99 they didn’t come cheaply either. However it could have been worse – some reported that for some reason they were re-receiving their payment orders and had been charged twice for their copies.

GAME themselves have been looking into the issue and have blamed an error with their own ordering system for the cancellations and double-charges. They tweeted out on the 6th that every pre-order was safe and reserved for the customer who had ordered it and that none would be released for public sale in stores. They urged everyone to keep trying to contact their phonelines and updated 8 hours ago to assure everyone they were trying to get everyone’s complaint resolved.

The Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Edition comes with a copy of the game as well as a plastic replica of the wrist-mounted device of the same name which can have your smartphone inserted into it and use the Pip-Boy App.

These last two days have seen those final 8 who made it through the group stages last week fighting on the stage at Blizzcon for the title of Hearthstone World Champion of 2015. Asia-Pacific was the region with the strongest showing, having 3 players to Europe and China who had 2 players each and the Americas sole remaining player.

The Friday saw the players matched in single elimination best of 5 matches,  with the first match-up seeing Kranich of Asia-Pacific, the only player to have made it to the final stages of the World Championship this year and last being knocked out by Thijs of the Europe team in a hard fought match that had all 5 rounds played as both players fought against elimination. His fellow European player Ostkaka was up next against the self-proclaimed Shaman Master Pinpingho also of Asia-Pacific; and won a convincing 3-1 victory against them.

Next saw a Chinese player fighting the third Asia-Pacific player as DieMeng was matched against Kno. Despite winning the first match against Kno, DieMeng was eventually beaten 3-1 as Kno won 3 games in a row to make it to the semis. The final quarter-final match saw HotForm of the Americas region facing off against Zoro of China and it was once again a hard fought battle that needed all 5 rounds to be resolved. Although at once point he went down 2 games to 1, HotForm eventually won two games back-to-back to advance and keep the Americas region in the tournament while also eliminating the last player for China from the tournament.

Saturday came and brought with it the semi-finals and the final match itself for the title. The semis consisted of both the European players, Thijs and Ostkaka being matched against each other which meant Europe was guaranteed to get to the finals no matter who won; and Kno and HotForm fighting to keep their region in contention for the title. Both semi-final matches were 3-2 results, every player fighting their hardest and using as much of the timer rope as possible to choose their moves carefully.

At some points during the matches between Thijs and Ostkaka both players were playing right down to fatigue (the point where there are no more cards to draw so players take increasing damage each turn instead), but in the end Ostkaka won the last game although Thijs did well to come back from a 2-0 to equalise the score and his performance was excellent.

The match between Kno and HotForm was more back and forth, with first Kno, then HotForm taking the lead at certain points before they went 2-2 and played their final game. Both players were on top at certain points during the game, but eventually HotForm was able to find purchase and managed to defeat the sole Asia-Pacific player to take the Americas region into the finals.

After a little pause for a breather the final match was finally on: Ostkaka of Europe verses HotForm of the Americas. Both players had seen tough matches to get this far, although Ostkaka had gotten to the final 8 through winning more of his first matches with HotForm having gotten in by winning matches in the lower brackets having lost some of his original first matches. Both players played hard and used their time wisely, with games constantly tilting back and forth in each player’s favour; but in the end each time Ostkaka with his thought to board placement managed to emerge on top. Ostkaka took the title of World Champion of 2015 with a 3-0 victory over HotForm.
