Sports players generally have a retirement age which is lower than the average. Oddly this is one area that eSports resembles the more physical sports of old, by having a retirement age that's even lower than theirs. Most eSports players retire from competitive player in their mid-twenties.
Riot though wants to help these people prepare for life after the competitions. While at the moment some players will go on to help develop more games like the ones they used to compete in, others will find it difficult to stay in the same area of employment. They aim to help players work on their brand during their time as competitors and to teach interview and media techniques that will be useful to them during and after their playing careers.
