The people behind the Games Done Quick charity fundraising events have just announced the details of their next fundraiser, an Awesome Games Done Quick even that will occur between January 4th and January 10th.

Awesome Games Done Quick for those unaware, is an event where speedrunners play through their chosen games as quickly as they possibly can for the amusement of an audience watching the speedruns over livestreams, usually on Twitch. It’s free to view but the point of the event is to encourage donations for the charity cause supported which this time around is the Prevent Cancer Foundation, which they have already managed to raise $1 million for just in their event in January of this year.

As it’s still months away there are no set final details or a full schedule but they have put up an outline of the event on Google Docs for those curious enough.
