SEGA has released a response to rumours of a new Sonic for PS4, XBOX One and Wii U in 2015, “SEGA is yet to announce details of upcoming console video games for Sonic the Hedgehog or further details regarding the new Sonic CG TV series. “The recent information coming out of Nuremburg Toy Fair was incorrect.”
SEGA also reminded everyone that “For official and up to date news regarding Sonic the Hedgehog please go to www.sonicthehedgehog.com or follow Sonic on Twitter (@sonic_hedgehog).”
It seems Sonic Adventure 3 may not be coming as soon as we thought. Sorry fanboys.
[ORIGINAL STORY]
Looks like Sonic may be speeding onto a Next-Gen console near you in 2015! A display spotted at the Nuremberg Toy Fair shows a new title for the Wii U, PS4 and XBOX ONE. Of course, the name of the game is TBA. Curiously, no mention of the third Nintendo exclusive title was found.
Nintendo and SEGA entered an exclusive partnership in 2013 to produce three Sonic titles for Nintendo’s home console and handheld. The first was Sonic Galax…I mean Sonic: Lost world. The second was, of course, the dismally un-fun Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. (On a side note, can we get shorter titles for those things? PLEASE?)
The third game is nowhere to be seen. The deal certainly could have changed as it did with the so called “Capcom Five” back in the Gamecube games. Popular speculation seems to be that this is a new game instead.
With the abysmal track record Sonic has had recently, is a new Sonic game a good idea? Or is SEGA just milking it’s half dead hedgehog for all the money it’s worth?
The wait for Marvel’s “Ant-Man” just got two weeks shorter!
Marvel’s “mite”-iest hero will now hit theatres July 17, 2015 courtesy of director Edgar Wright, two weeks earlier than the previously announced date of July 31.
Ant-Man fans have had quite a few reasons to rejoice lately, with the casting of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym as we get ready to start production on the highly-anticipated film later this year!
In addition to “Ant-Man,” Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” on April 4, 2014; “Guardians of the Galaxy” on August 1, 2014; and “Avengers: Age of Ultron” on May 1, 2015.
The The Lego Movie has revealed a new TV spot online which showcases the colourful and vibrant LEGO-made world, and like our little yellow friends we have only one word for it. ‘Awesome!’
While little about the plot is revealed, watching the promo video is an absolute ton of fun, as during the 30-second clip you’ll get glimpses at The LEGO Movie’s famous guest stars including Batman and Superman… move over Zack Synder!
With beautiful visuals, catchy songs and robot dancers, if this short promotional spot doesn’t make you want to drag your old LEGO out of your parents’ loft and relive your childhood for a few hours, we doubt much else will.
Check out the new TV spot for The LEGO Movie below:
The film – with a star-studded cast including the voices of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Ferrell, Jonah Hill, Morgan Freeman and a host of other famous names – is set to hit the big screen in the UK in both 3D and 2D just in time for Valentines day on 14 February 2014.
After all, what could be more romantic than LEGO?
